UTT workers enraged over possible firings

#NEWSauce exclusive video of UTT Protest.

With chants of “Closing UTT will hurt T&T” beleaguered UTT staffers lodged a protest against impending firings at the national university.

Angry staffers spoke to #NEWSauce asking how on earth could the government decide to retain the managment team that ran the university into the ground.

Said one outspoken staffer, “The former administration brought in a toxic managerial team to manage the national university for five years and some months. They suck the place dry and overpay themselves. The current goverment retains that same toxic management team who are now advising them that to keep the UTT going staff must be fired. Not themselves, eh. Not staff who getting $60 thousand a month or $240,000 a month eh. They talking about sending home people making $7000 a month.

“Yes, UTT needs to be leaner, better managed and better run, but how can that happen if they keep the same persons who ran it into the ground in the first place?”
